Welcome Enda O. Breadon
to the BDACT Board of Directors

Enda O. Breadon

A recent transplant to Dodge County, Enda has directed a middle school production of AS YOU LIKE IT, performed in the mainstage production JAKE REVOLVER, and choreographed a fight scene and puppet movement for BDACT’s summer high school productions.  For over twenty-five years Enda worked throughout the United States and Europe in professional theatre, comedy and commercial/film as an actor, director, writer, and movement coach.  His credits include the Old Globe in San Diego, Trinity College in Ireland, Honolulu Theatre for Youth, Georgia Ensemble Theatre & Conservatory, Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Nashville Children’s Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Santa Cruz Fringe Festival, Oahu Fringe Festival and many more.  He never intended to be a performer, but ended up on stage with an improv comedy troupe as a result of getting kicked out of a class in high school.

In 1998, Enda did a teaching internship at the nationally prestigious Seattle Children’s Theatre Drama School.   Since then, he has worked as a “teaching artist” for many professional theatres.  Enda has been an artist-in-residence at schools all over the country; he has trained hundreds of classroom teachers of all grades and subjects on ways to use drama and movement to enhance learning and engage parts of the brain not often immersed through traditional classroom activities.  For five years Enda was a full-time, resident teaching artist at Honolulu Theatre for Youth.  For three years he served as the Education Director at Georgia Ensemble Theatre & Conservatory, overseeing a large number of classes and camps, a faculty of teaching artists, and a professional Theatre for Young Audience series. Since moving to Wisconsin in 2014, Enda has regularly taught summer stage classes, in-school workshops and Young Playwright residencies for Children’s Theatre of Madison (CTM).  A number of high schools & middle schools in the greater Madison area regularly use Enda to teach their students character movement workshops and/or to choreograph their slapstick and fight scenes. Enda absolutely loves his job at Horizon High School of Madison, Wisconsin’s only recovery school.

We are grateful to Enda for filling this mid-term Board Position and feel extremely fortunate to have such a talented theatrical educator/director/performer on our team!
