Calling all high school performers! The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre (BDACT) is excited to announce open auditions for its upcoming area high school production of Bright Star Auditions will be held on Tuesday, April 7, and Wednesday, April 8, from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the BDACT Fine Arts Center, located at 117 W. Maple Ave.

Right now it's time to get yourself prepped for an audition of your own. We have opportunities for many different types of people. (That includes YOU.) I'll take these in chronological order of their performance dates. Open your calendar, ready your pen, and follow along.

The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre (BDACT) proudly announces the induction of Earl Ritter and Jim McMillan into the BDACT Wall of Honor. Located in the lobby of the BDACT Fine Arts Center, the Wall of Honor recognizes individuals who have made monumental contributions to the leadership, growth, and artistic excellence of the organization.

When I pitched Mission: Improv-able to BDACT, I had no idea what I was doing. Classic improv. But I knew exactly what I wanted. I could see the show in my mind. “Silly people doing silly things.”

I’m Christine Schmitz, and I’ve been fortunate to be part of the Horicon Phoenix Program (HPP) since 2015. HPP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing Horicon, WI, by creating opportunities for connection, community pride and shared experiences.

Yeehaw! Registration is now open for The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre ‘s(BDACT) One Voice, Children’s Chorus’ spring semester. The chorus invites area students in grades 3–5 to saddle up for a homespun season of lively music, teamwork and fun as they embark on a musical journey inspired by brave American pioneers.
