BDACT Launches 'Pay It Forward Program'

The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre (BDACT) is excited to announce the launch of its Pay It Forward Program, a new initiative that lets community members spread kindness by purchasing tickets or class passes for others to enjoy. Through this program, anyone can contribute to our local arts community by giving someone in need a chance to experience the joy of theater and arts education—no strings attached.
The concept is simple: Give a Little, Enjoy a Lot. Generous donors can purchase an extra ticket to a BDACT show, a class, or other educational opportunity, that will get pinned to the Pay It Forward Board in the theater lobby in the form of a gift card. Anyone needing assistance may simply take a ticket or class pass from the board and enjoy a free experience.
"The Pay It Forward Program is an opportunity to make the arts accessible to everyone in our community," explained BDACT Production Coordinator Kim Doyle. "With your support, we can ensure that finances are never a barrier to creativity, connection, and the magic of live performance. We're excited to bring the community together to make art a gift everyone can share!"
How the Pay It Forward Board Works:
Donate to the fund of your choice: Access to the Arts or Youth Education. Your gift can cover anything from a $5 ticket to a BDACT production to $200 for a semester of arts education.
Take it if you need it. Pick up a ticket or class gift card from the board, no questions asked.
Spread the joy. Every gift card placed on the board means more community members can participate in BDACT programs.
Contribute any amount, but here are some suggested donations:
$12 covers one class session.
$40 supports the participation fee for a summer show.
$60 funds a student’s enrollment in BDACT’s One Voice singing class.
$200 sponsors a semester of performance art classes like Class Act or Acting Up.
Ticket prices range from $5 to $24 so we will build multiple packages based on donations.
