The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre (BDACT) announces the recipients of this year’s Jerome H. Kamps Memorial Scholarships, awarded to two graduating seniors: Ella Gochenaur and Nash Gartzke.

Have you ever heard the saying “It’s like trying to herd cats?” Well, that’s an easy job compared to directing an improv team…I imagine…I’m not the director…I’m one of the cats.

Thanks to our generous hosts, artists, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees, BDACT’s inaugural Garden & Arts Walk was a tremendous success! The event supported BDACT’s mission of bringing quality live theatre and community arts programming to Beaver Dam.

The Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre Wall of Honor, in the lobby of the BDACT Fine Arts Center, celebrates individuals with significant contributions to the development and growth of the organization. Areas of contribution include leadership, committees, performing, crews, production staff, directing and teaching.

Experiencing a spectacle like Shrek The Musical at BDACT this year is a treat for the senses. Large cast. Bright colors. A variety of textures and locations. Numerous songs, both loud and quiet. Plenty of dancing. Moving stage pictures and opportunities for the audience to laugh, to feel sadness and happiness, and everything in between.
