About The Show

Radium Girls tells the true story of Grace Fryer, a former dial painter for U.S. Radium Corporation, as she battles her former employers and her deteriorating health for justice, after being unknowingly poisoned by extreme levels of Radium, the newest “Miracle drug”, in her workplace. The courage and persistence of Grace and the other Radium Girls shows the true power of the working class when united.

The play is based on the true story of the "Radium Girls" and their lawsuits. The timeline ranges from 1918 through the 1940s, but the bulk of the narrative is centered on events in New Jersey in the mid 1920s.
