Loving music from a young age then being introduced to theater was a game changer. Auditioning for my first show in fourth grade at BDACT got me hooked. As I grew my love of being on stage continued at school with more musicals and plays. In high school I was able to add my love of photography by taking photos for productions which has only furthered my interest in theatre. My participation in BDACT has grown in the past year. Being part of the first student members on the board allowed me to voice my opinion and learn more about the business aspect. I started assistant directing with Four Glasses and the Winter Repertoire Company, and hoping to do more. Participating more in the BDACT community has allowed me to meet so many amazing people. When it was found out that I was going to school for photography I was pulled into the marketing committee. Using what I learned in school to take photos for the theater. Creating reels has also been something I have been trying to do more here at the theater. I hope that with the student board position and the reels that are being created, younger people think it looks fun and want to do more and feel welcomed in the theater. There are many opportunities other than just being in shows there is also, joining backstage, tech, production crews, and many committees.
