The stage is set for another diverse, fun, and entertaining season of productions at the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre (BDACT)!
Thanks to the generosity of so many in our area communities, the BDACT Fine Arts Center, is a world-class, high-tech, comfortable, yet still intimate venue in which to to be entertained. And 2026 promises to be an outstanding year to see our Artistry in Action!
Business Manager David Saniter says, “Prepare for a magical season! BDACT invites you to laugh, cry, sing along, rock out and get lost in the mystery of 'Who dunnit?'”
We are thrilled to debut our NEW restroom and concession renovations in Encore Hall. These updates will enhance the experience for all performances in that space, especially the return of our popular Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre.
Perfect for the new Encore Hall setting is Mission: Improv-able! This popular BDACT comedy improv troupe will now be performing twice a year, in the spring and fall, doubling the laughs!
We are committed to educating the next generation of performers. Kicking off the 2026 season is our NEW program for area high school students. These dedicated performers will tackle next-level acting in abridged productions of Shakespeare’s classics: Julius Caesar and The Tempest.
Educational opportunities abound:
Students from the “Acting Up Drama Club” will end their class with the play Complaint Department and Lemonade. This rapid succession of hysterical grievances takes on everything from Oreo icing to the price of cheese!
“Class Act” finishes their year with a performance of Wizard of Oz and Toto Too, where you'll join Toto and his pups as he tells of his heroic adventures with Dorothy.
The “One Voice Children’s Chorus” will have three concerts this year! Their first performance in March, "Heading West," will feature songs for cowboys, cowgirls and brave pioneers. Round up your family for this musical journey!
Youth casts will shine in their own summer musical productions:
Tell-A-Tale (Grades 3-5) will be featured in Sally Sells Sea Shells, featuring Sally, a kid con-artist with a seashell-selling scheme!
Kids of all ages will love the Tell-A-Tale (Grades 6-8) production of The SpongeBob Musical! When a volcano threatens Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob and friends must come together to save their undersea world.
(Hang on! The Area High School Production will be announced soon!)
BDACT’s popular main stage productions are set to entertain:
The season opens with the powerful drama, Hedda Gabler, a gripping psychological drama by Henrik Ibsen that centers on a fiercely intelligent and restless woman.
Artistry in Action will be in full swing for our major summer production of Shrek, The Musical! Countless artists will bring the loveable, green ogre to life. Get whisked Far Far Away to swamps, castles, talking animals, adventure, love and laughter.
The fall main stage production brings us the wildly original Zombie Temps from Outer Space, where aliens infiltrate Earth, turning our most elite workforce—the temp—into functional zombies intent on world domination.
A special feature production, What the Constitution Means to Me by Heidi Schreck, is a hilarious, hopeful and achingly human play that breathes new life into our Constitution.
Are you a lover of live music? BDACT has you covered!
The Fire and Ice concert series features two groups: Ben Mulwana & The Village, and the Joseph Huber Band, featuring Kenny Leiser.
Paddle City Big Band will have you swinging with two concerts this year, playing swing standards as well as contemporary hits.
The popular group Loco Vocals will have a reunion performance in April. Fans can once again experience their tight harmonies and comedy.
Finally, the big concert of the year will be the group “Sail On,” the most booked Beach Boys Tribute in the world!
BDACT invites you to experience the magic of live performance all year long. Make your plans now to be part of this extraordinary season!
