Stagecraft Club

Have you ever watched a play and wondered, “How did they do that?” Here’s your chance to find out. The BDACT Stagecraft Club is where creativity meets hands-on learning, bringing the magic of the stage to life. From building and assembling to painting and finishing, members work alongside the set designer and director to create the sets and props that help bring a show to life.

We welcome participants of all ages and experience levels to join as a student, a mentor, or even both. Students are given tasks that match their skill level, while mentors help guide, encourage, and support them throughout the process. Whether you’re creative, enjoy working with your hands, or want to learn something new, there’s a place for you in the Stagecraft Club.

Stagecraft Workshops are collaborative and engaging, with students and mentors working side-by-side to build confidence, learn new skills, and create something truly special together. No experience is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to jump in.

During the summer of 2026, the club will meet on weekdays to be determined, based on availability of participants.  The time frame will be 9am–noon when working on The SpongeBob Musical set and props, and 1–3pm when working on Sally Sells Seashells (And You Can Too!). Days of the week will be announced soon, but session times will remain the same.

All participants are asked to complete the registration form, and mentors are encouraged to sign up for volunteer shifts. For more information, contact Kim Doyle at [email protected]
