BDACT Winter Repertory Company
A BDACT Youth Education Showcase
Winter Repertory Company is BDACT’s intensive actor training program for high school students. Students learn advanced acting techniques while working on scripts that are key in the history of American Regional Theatre. Every year includes final productions for the public and multiple workshops with current professional actors.
Past professional workshop topics include audition techniques, performing dialects, Shakespearean verse, developing characters through movement, and more.

About the Class
THERE IS NO TUITION FEE TO PARTICIPATE!
The first rehearsal will be November 30.
Rehearsals will be most weekday evenings (not every cast member will be needed for every rehearsal), some Saturday mornings and occasional Sunday evenings. We will have more rehearsals as the performances get closer.
We will have rehearsals the last week of December.
Participants will have a principal role in one show and a smaller role(s) in another show.
Performances will be January 21-24, 2027.

Auditions
To audition for Winter Repertory Company, a high school student should choose either one monologue no longer than three minutes, or two contrasting monologues that are individually, each not longer than two minutes.
Monologues can be memorized, but do not have to be memorized. If students would like help picking a monologue, please email [email protected], put “WRC monologue” in the subject line and include some information about yourself in the body of the email.
Now through Friday, November 20, 2026, students can record a monologue at home and email them to [email protected].
In-person auditions:
Sunday, August 2, 6:00-8:00pm.
Sunday, November 15, 6:00-8:00pm.
Monday, November 16, 6:00-8:00pm.
Students only need to audition once.
