Murd-arrr!!! Pirates of the Salty Dog Auditions

Come be part of a murder mystery dinner theater production that is sure to delight and entertain! A pirate crew has gone straight, opening a restaurant and trying - unsuccessfully - to stay out of trouble.

This show will be immersive, as Encore Hall is transformed into the Salty Dog Restaurant. The acting will take place not on stage, but in and amongst the diners.

The rehearsal schedule is abbreviated, meaning there are only 2 or 3 rehearsals each week on a tight timeline - actors are expected to need time outside of rehearsal to work on line memorization and review their blocking. Please see the conflict calendar attached to the audition sign-up for planned rehearsal dates and times.

We are looking for actors age 18 and up to fill several fun roles. Please sign up for a time slot to audition.

Auditions will be short. Deliver a 1-2 minute monologue as it is intended to be delivered; then do it again, but as a pirate.

There is a chance the Director will be cast in the play, though that will hopefully not be necessary.

F. "Bigbeard" McQuarrie	135	Feared pirate captain and owner of The Salty Dog restaurant. Beloved by his crew, feared by his enemies. Strong and occasionally slow of thought, but not stupid.
Anne "Momma" McQuarrie	111	Bigbeard's mother and head cook. She is feared by everyone. I mean everyone.
Eddie "Bones" Stevenson	106	First mate and busboy. Loyal and eager to learn more to be ready to take his place as captain when the time comes.
Bonny "Dragon Lady" Howard	113	Smart, sexy pirate and the hostess. She's the one who gets things done. Kisses The Razor. Some audience interaction/improv skills needed. Before the play starts, she'll be working with the ushers in her role as "hostess."
Clive "The Swallow" Morgan	55	Pirate waiter who prefers to drink. Troublemaker with little respect for authority. Deep down, he wants to prove himself, too. Must be able to be pushed around a little, including on the floor. Some swordplay.
Jean "The Razor" Thibodeaux	81	French privateer and archenemy of the crew of the Salty Dog. A worthy rival and great swordsman. Some swordplay. French accent desirable. Kisses Bonny.
Sheriff Willie Rackham	38	Local, non-pirate, lawman. He can't quite believe the other characters or the situation he's in with this investigation.
