This show will be fun!
Dress comfortably and be prepared to read several selections from the play, which will be provided. The play is set in the 1700’s in the Scottish Highlands. A willingness to learn to speak with a Scottish accent is a plus. Geared to actors, ages 18 and up.

Character Descriptions:
MAIS: Fashion conscious and an incessant enabler. As a Bryndal, he has pointy ears and wears a paisley vest, black knickers, and colorful socks. This character may be played by an actor of any gender. Feel free to change the pronouns in the script to fit the actor.
FERN: Also a Bryndal, and dresses accordingly. He’s Mais' life-long friend. He's witty, and over the top sarcastic. He loves to go fishing. This character may be played by an actor of any race/ gender. Feel free to change the pronouns in the script to fit the actor.
EMELIA: Female. 40+ years old. Married to Fergus. She has a Scottish accent. She's discontent and wants to travel.
FERGUS: Male. 40+ year old. A cranky, injured Scottish cobbler.
SYDNEY THE SNITCHER: Half human, half Bryndal. Nervous and twitchy. Sydney can only be seen by humans when he’s wearing his purple cloak. This character may be played by an actor of any gender. Feel free to change the pronouns in the script to fit the actor.
